STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING NOW...

And head to Called To Surf in Provo.

Last night I was invited to attend an event at Called To Surf at the Riverwoods in Provo.

My AMAZING BBF Bri and the great staff at CTS hosted one of the best events I have been to!

Fabulous people, delicious food provided by LaJolla Groves, THE BEST Soda Bar hosted by SodaliciousUtah, yummy goodie bags put together by our favorite Blickenstaffs, an adorable photo backdrop, giveaways and shopping!
Seriously... What more could a blogger ask for?!
I loved being apart of this event and getting to participate with CTS for their home decor debut and to see the latest fashions and products for the 2014 Spring and Summer seasons.
CTS is also bringing back their kids line of products which I am TERRIBLY excited for.
CTS is such a unique and trendy store. The store is well organized and their displays make it easy to find and see their clothes.
Doesn't this make shopping so much easier and make you want to buy more? Yes.
I love that their clothes are not items you will find in just any old department store.
I was very pleased with the great range of clothes they have in various sizes and prices.
It really makes this store the PERFECT place for anyone to shop!
I had so much fun putting together this #ctsadayatthebeach outfit.
This bathing suit and bag are definitely on my wish list!

I am so glad I have found a new favorite store just in time for the upcoming Spring/Summer seasons and cannot wait to go back and stock up on their FABULOUS clothes for my post baby body.

If you are in Utah County you HAVE to head down to Called To Surf and check out what I am talking about.
You will NOT be disappointed!

Thanks again to everyone who made this night happen.
Everything was perfect.
Hope we get to do it again soon.

Fit2BMom Mondays

The post baby body journey has officially begun and I have decided to start a series every Monday where I will share details of my experience losing my baby weight and getting in shape to be a FIT MOM.
I will share daily workouts, active activities I did with my kids and healthy recipes.
I will also be adding some fun fitness/food facts and photos!
I'm even more excited to be featuring some fabulous women who will share their stories and tips on how they are Fit2BMoms.
Hope you will keep following along.
I would love to hear/see your stories, workout routines and recipes.
Join the party on Instagram using hashtag: #fit2bemom

Fit2BMom Monday Week #1.
Here's what I did today.

WorkOut:
-Walked 2 Miles to the park with the kiddos.
-50/50 Circuit (Cardio & Strength)
(Found on Pinterest here)
*This routine kicked my butt.
I said I was starting slow and when my legs almost gave out after the first round I BARELY made it through round 2 (after the kids went to sleep).
Round 3 is gonna have to wait a few days or so.
Yes, I did my first round Circuit workout in the living room with both kids.  #gottadowhatyagottado
-Day 1 of 30 Day Plank Challenge
(Found here - Thanks Alana)

Healthy Activity With My Kids:
Took Hunter to the park where he got to run around for an hour.
He swung on the swings and he went up and down the slide about a million times and climbing those stairs with his little legs was a workout I am sure.
He LOVED it.
Also had a little picnic where we ate apples and Special K Whole Wheat Crackers.
Delicious.

Healthy Dinner:
Tonight I made grilled chicken, roasted carrots and brown rice.
The chicken I seasoned with pepper and garlic salt.
The carrots I used this Pinterest recipe.
(They were DELICIOUS)
The brown rice I added a little splash of soy sauce for flavor.
Great meal and super easy.
Even Kevin & Hunter ate it.
I also tried out a new banana bread recipe substituting sugar free applesauce and honey instead of sugar and oil.
I also added a dash of nutmeg and a little cinnamon for some extra flavor.
It was pretty good.
(I will admit the recipe called for wheat flour which I didn't have so I will be interested to try it again and see if it still passes the taste test)

Daily Goals Met:
I drank 90+oz of water today.
No Soda.
No eating after 7pm.

Fun Fact:
Breastfeeding burns up to 500 calories per day
(when exclusively breastfeeding)
Hooray for nursing moms!

WorkOut Song of the Day:
Sexy & I know It by LMFAO.

_____________

Oh and for the record...
I also got ALL this laundry done.
How does one tiny extra person in the house make for so much more laundry.
Go Team.

The Shape of a Mother.

Have you seen this mothers blog about post baby body?
Or read this mothers thoughts.
I love both of these articles and can understand and appreciate both mothers thoughts and views on bodies after babies.
I admire the one mothers desires to be fit and healthy for herself and her sons.
I appreciate the other mothers sweet views about the "lines mapped across the mountains of stretched skin" and can relate to the reminder that those lines indicate my children once lived inside of me.
There are so many opinions over a mothers post baby body that I figured I could jump on that bandwagon and share my thoughts as I begin to re-shape my body after Hayden's birth.

In reality having a baby changes your body and in some ways it will never be the same.
However, I believe it is not an excuse to let yourself go.
I also believe every one's body is different and you should diet and exercise in whatever way bests suits you.

So here is what best suits me.
I have decided to start slow with some short workouts and eating healthier.
(As time passes I will increase my workout routines and times and have a stricter diet -
keep in mind I am still breastfeeding a newborn and need to make sure I keep my milk flow)
I have set several goals to help me achieve my short term and long term weight markers.
Some of my goals include; working out for 30 minutes at least 3 days a week, taking the kids on walks, drinking 90oz of water a day, not eating after 7pm and cutting back on the sugars!
I have also printed a weekly chart to check off my progress.

I am quiet anxious for this journey.
I have never been a good "dieter" and sometimes it feels like I don't the time or energy to sneak in a workout.
I hope that by setting my goals, tracking my progress and sharing updates on the blog, I will stay accountable and motivated to get in shape.

Now what you've all been waiting for.
2 weeks Postpartum Stats.
147lbs.
BMI: 33% (approx)
That's the REAL DEAL people.
MY GOSH I cannot believe I am posting this.
Terrifying, but I have to agree that it will be much easier to turn down that Dirty Dr Pepper  and easier to put in that 30 minutes now that THE WHOLE WORLD knows whats going on underneath!

So there it is.
I hope you will follow along this journey with me.
I am excited to share my experiences and progress.
I hope you'll share some of your experiences.
Tips? Advice? Healthy Recipes? Workout Routines?
Love to hear whats worked for you also!

Are you a photo-aholic like me?
Do you take a MILLION photos weekly of your kids, outfits, travels etc?
If you do then you NEED to try Groove Book.

We are BIG fans of ABC's Shark Tank here at the Ford house and every Friday we look forward to seeing what awesome products people bring to the tank!
One product that stuck out to me, since I am a HUGE photo-aholic, was Groove Book.
Groove Book is a FABULOUS app that lets you upload 100 photos right from your phone for the STEAL price of just $2.99 a month
For $2.99 a month you get 100 photos printed in an adorable little book and shipped right to your door!
YES! You read that right... that price INCLUDES SHIPPING!

The photo quality is similar to printing photos from your home printer, so not perfect, but still quality.
One of my favorite features of Groove Book is the perforated edges that allows you to easily tear out the photos you want to put in frames!

Sounds amazing right?
Well here is your chance to try Groove Book for FREE.

Just use the code: FORD565 at checkout.

Long gone are the days of keeping my photos completely digital.
Time to update that photo wall since little Hayden has arrived.
Crazy, I was already able to upload 100 photos since her birth.
Thanks Groove Book.

Hope you love Groove Book as much as I do.

(A Special Thanks to Kate&Linny for sharing their code for our first GrooveBook)
