Best of 2013.

We are celebrating tonight at home.
Kevin will put Hunter to bed and then the two of us will stay up late watching a movie and the ball drop in New York City.
We'll toast our sparkling cider and share a smooch.

What a great year two-thousand-thirteen was for our family.
We are so blessed and are very much looking forward to everything ahead of us in 2014.

Happy New Year Readers!

Here are our favorite posts from 2013.

33 Weeks + 3days + A New Tradition.

Today I had my 33 week appointment.
Baby's heartbeat sounds great.
The Dr. said he would BET that she will be here before the 14th of Feb.
(and if she comes as early as Hunter we have T-minus THREE weeks).
Pray for us!
(we may have packed my hospital bag and Hunters overnight bag tonight just in case)

I am 11pounds lighter then I was with Hunter this far along.
I found this picture of when I was pregnant with Hunter at 33 weeks and noticed that I wore the same outfit yesterday to church at 33 weeks pregnant with baby girl.
Hunter.
Baby Girl.
Can you see the 11 pounds?
I can!

Tonight was a busy fun filled evening.
We started a new tradition and decorated our New Year's Tree
(an awesome tradition and great way to STRETCH out the use of that favorite Christmas piece)
Streamers, balloons and a tissue paper topper.

I saw the idea on a friends Instagram page and when I saw her today I asked her about it.
She said she has been doing it since she was little and her grandmother used to put all sorts of decorations on including money and candy bars!
Her tree looked awesome with New Year's eve hats and tinsel.
We went a little simple for our first year as we put it together with what we had around the house, but I think next year we will add a few more things!
It's so fun to be able to start our own traditions as our family is growing.

After we put Hunter to bed, Kevin and I worked on some projects.
My awesome husband Youtubed how to shorten window blinds and was able to knock out a couple around the house like a PRO.
Way to go babe.

I went to the garage and continued working on the dresser for baby girls room.
I cannot wait to see it all finished and in her room.

Hope you all enjoy your last day of Two-Thousand-Thirteen tomorrow.
Any big plans for New Years Eve?

Ps. I took Hunter to Jamba Juice today for the first time.
He LOVED it.

Wish List: Baby Girl Addition

Since Kevin had the week off, we have been trying to pound away preparations for our little girls big arrival.
My official due date is only 48 days away and since Hunter came 22 days early...
that might not give us much time before she decides to join the party.

Monday we painted baby's room, just one wall, and it is JUST what I hoped for.

The gold polka dots for her wall arrived yesterday!

I also took the rest of Hunter's things out of the room and moved them into his big boy room so I could get her closet organized.
Kevin hung two shelves, a photo and a mirror that I had gotten for the room.
It was really exciting to see it all starting to come together.

I have fallen in love with so many adorable things over the past few months since I've known we were expecting a girl, that I had to start a wish list that hopefully I can slowly, not all before she arrives, chip away at.
I want it all!

(I also LOVE the BLUSH color)
(with Red Hair of course)

Christmas Happenings.

We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas.

It was our FIRST Christmas in our new home and it couldn't have been a more perfect.

Christmas Eve.
Snowman building, Christmas Eve scavenger hunt, Christmas PJ's, and cuddling late with the hubby watching a Christmas movie.

Christmas Day.
Christmas morning surprise, stockings, aebelskievers, Christmas naps, delicious dinner, family and friends.

We only got through HALF our presents before our afternoon naps.
