38 Weeks.

How far along: 38 weeks!

Baby size: a Watermelon (19-21 inches, Approx 7lbs)

Weight gain: doctor says I'm gaining enough and have nothing to worry about.

Maternity clothes: yup. but honestly I'm lucky if I get out of my PJ's... or get clothes on at all for that matter!

Stretch marks: still just the one this pregnancy but the coloring on all of my stretch marks is a little shinier?!

Sleep: more like PURE exhaustion. I wake up 10+ times to pee in the middle of the night. My insomnia and crazy mind keeps me up for hours and last night I had a little "round robin" game of Cramps, Upset Stomach and Heartburn. Literally, for an hour, the discomfort and pain rotated in that order. It was awful.

Gender: little lady

Best moment this week: Making it to 38 weeks. Quiet an accomplishment for a Kyla Pregnancy! (Guess I am NOT one of those women who follow pregnancy patterns)

Looking forward to: a little more baby shopping this week.
I got some ADORABLE headbands from ASassyBowShop and I am so in love with them and it gets me so excited to DRESS a little girl.

What I miss: bending over. honestly. I never realized how MUCH of it a person does in a day and it's almost an impossible task these days.

Movement: yes! moving all over mommy's belly. Daddy has been able to feel her a lot this week as she starts shifting around trying to get comfortable RIGHT as mom is trying to go to sleep.

Food cravings: Chocolate and WATER.

Aversions: beef.

Belly Button: still flat but so fun to watch it pop out when I am having a contraction!

Nursery: it's pretty much ready except for the fact that Hunter is STILL sleeping in the crib
I'd like to find a rug and curtains to finish it off but for the most part it's baby move in ready!

Miscellaneous: I hate to complain (again) but I am so ready for this baby to be OUT. I am so grateful she has stayed in there this long and hope that means we will get to bring home a healthy baby after a day or so, however, my pain/discomfort/anxiety levels are THROUGH the roof and I am ready to meet my little girl.
Monday, I have another appointment where the Dr will check my progress and talk induction!
If she hasn't made her big debut by the 10th I am hoping he will take her then.
I mean, we have made it this far so hopefully makes it through next Wednesday so Dad can watch his Seahawks WIN the Super Bowl for the FIRST TIME EVER, and so that Grandma Shelley can be here!

Happy Friday and LAST DAY OF January!!
Any Big SuperBowl Sunday plans?
Who are you cheering for?

Toddler Tidbits: Mommy and Me Date (For Under $10)

I have been trying to "take it easy" this week as to keep baby sister cooking for just a little bit longer.

I finally decided that Hunter and I needed to get out of the house and have some fun mommy and me date but didn't wanna spend an arm and a leg.
Luckily, there are a lot of place you can go (even during winter) that are FREE or cost very little.
I needed to run to Target to check out a few baby items and thought this would be the perfect first stop.
Hunter LOVES Target and recognizes the store sign when we pull up into the parking lot.
(Target addicts?)
Target is pretty kid friendly.
A great place to check an errand off your list with your kids.
Nice wide isles, big carts, stickers at checkout and an awesome dollar selection for kids to pick out a treat!

We spent about 20 minutes in the store picking up a few things we "needed" and as part of our mommy and me date Hunter got TWO treats from the dollar section.
Leave it up to my kid to choose the mini broom and dust pan.
I honestly don't know what his obsession with cleaning is!
(#maybetheappledoesntfallfarfromthetree)
Total Cost = $2.

Our next stop was the mall.
Most malls have playgrounds, indoors tucked away in some back corner and it's perfect to take the little ones to burn off some steam.
Hunter had been once before but was too little to climb the stairs and go down the slide.

This time he was all over the place.
He absolutely loved it and is quiet the slide pro!

He probably went down the slide 50 times.
We spent 30 minutes at the playground which was just enough time to work up our lunch appetite.
Total Cost = FREE.

Next we headed to the food court for a quick, inexpensive lunch date.
Taco Bell.

Cheesy Roll Up for Hunter. Bean Burrito for Mom. Waters all around.
Total Cost = $3.

Since we were at the mall we decided to walk around and check out a few more stores.
We visited one of our favorite people, Bishop Haden, over at Mr. Mac and of course had to stop by the Disney Store.
I knew we weren't going to buy anything, which always makes taking kids into the store a little more challenging, but it's important to teach our kids we can't always buy everything!
(Then of course Disney had a super great special on their plush stuffed animals, which happens to be Hunter's favorite thing in the world, so it was difficult for BOTH mommy and Hunter to walk out empty handed but we did it).
That FACE says it all.
Hunter loved every minute in the store.
Thanks to the sweet and patient Disney workers who let Hunter carry around the stuffed animals and re-arrange their nicely placed display.
Window Shopping = FREE.

And what's a mommy and me date without a dessert stop?
Now if it was warmer it probably would have been frozen yogurt or Jamba Juice but this week we opted for a warm Cinnabon.
Yum.

The perfect warm treat and just the right size for sharing!
Total Cost = $3.50

For our final stop, we visited Dad at his office.
Hunter LOVES seeing Dad and it's so cute as we pull up to his office building he starts saying "Dad, Dad, DAD!"
Dad visits with us for a minute.
Give us extra afternoon kisses and then heads back to work.
We are so lucky to have him.
He works so hard everyday so Mommy & Hunter can have fun play dates like we did!
Total Cost = FREE.

Cost Review.
Target Treats. $2
Playground. Free
Taco Bell Lunch. $3
Window Shopping. Free
Cinnabon Dessert. $3.50
Visiting Dad. Free.
Total - $8.50
Spending the day with your favorite son. PRICELESS.

We had a fabulous day just the two of us.
I am loving spending so much time with my little guy before sister comes.
I hope he knows how much I love him.
He is such a special boy.
Smart, funny, handsome and so much personality!
I am glad we are able to find things to do, inside and outside of the home, that don't break the bank.

I think it's safe to say our afternoon wore us both out!

What are some things you do with your kids outside of the home??
Comment Below. I'd love to add more ideas to my list!

PS.
Can you believe its almost FEBRUARY.
I'm having a BABY this month!!
PPS.
It's SNOWING today.

Target WishList. (+Featured and Inspiration)

Yesterday, Hunter and I went on a mommy and me date and OF COURSE we had to stop by Target.
Hunter picked out a few fun toys from the dollar section and I scored these metallic beauties for $5!!

I suddenly got really excited about new Spring/Summer wardrobe purchases with my post baby body.
Here are a few items I saw yesterday that I am currently swooning over!

Junior's Monokini -Geometric Print/Merona® Satchel Handbag with Removable Crossbody Strap - Green/Women's Mossimo Supply Co. Walda Wedge Sandal with Buckle - Green/Mossimo Supply Co. Juniors Floral Legging - Assorted Colors/Merona® Women's Ponte Pencil Skirt - Black/Cream/Women's Mad Love® Lenora Ankle Wedge Booties/Junior's Sequin Bow Sweatshirt - Pale Blush/Xhilaration® Junior's Roll Sleeve Top - Black/Ivory/Xhilaration® Turquoise Sunglasses

I am OBSESSING over FRINGE for Spring/Summer. The coral on this geometric print suit is to Die For!
EMERALD GREEN is one of my favorite colors (it compliments my hair and eyes) and I have made it a goal to get more of it in my wardrobe!
This purse and these wedges will be my FIRST buys.
A good pair of floral leggings is a must as well as a pencil skirt for church or a dressy/casual afternoon.
These ankle booties should be a staple in every closet.
A few new tops (so ready to be out of maternity shirts) and a good pair of spring colored sunnies also caught my eye!

There was TONS more I was drooling over at my local store.
I am so excited for all of the Spring Fashion to start rolling in and even more excited that baby girl will be here soon and that I will NEED new clothes just around that time!

What's on your Target Wish list?
