Hot or Not: Men Carrying Purses.

Yesterday, as I frantically searched the mall for a bridesmaids dress for a wedding TODAY (to no avail by the way), I noticed 3 different men who were carrying their wife/girlfriend's purse.

Hot or Not?
(And No, Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr were not one of the couples I saw today)

I honestly had a 5 minute battle back and forth in my head trying to figure out how I felt about this gesture.
My first thought was, "Kevin doesn't carry my purse!"
My second thought was, "Well, I don't really have a purse. I have a backpack I use as a diaper bag that my wallet is tossed into."
My third thought was, "Even if I had a purse I wouldn't want to EMBARRASS my husband and take away his man card by making him carry around this ridiculously girly bag."
Then my brain went to the thought, "I can carry my own purse!"
Feeling a little prideful, I then thought, "Kevin does so many other kind gestures, opening my car door, pulling my chair out, HOLDING MY HAND and KISSING ME IN PUBLIC..."

I was reminded of a conversation I had with an employee at work about a similar topic. She told us about a General Conference talk she heard which stated how women are trying to be so "equal" to men that we sometimes forget to allow them to do these sweet and loving gestures for us because we are "too capable" of doing it ourselves.

I finally decided that having my husband carry my purse is NOT HOT.
As much as I LOVE when my husband shows other kind gestures like mentioned above, holding my purse is just not something I feel he needs to do.
(Now Carrying my Shopping Bags??? Totally Different Story!! )

I am so grateful for my husband and the gestures he makes to show me he loves me.

I am grateful that there are men out there who carry their girl's purse and are at least MAKING AN EFFORT to show a little confirmation of love.

What are your thoughts on Men Carrying Purses?!
Is there a gesture you're significant other does that really makes you 'weak in the knees'?

Pureza Salon and Flamingo Fest Dance Party.

June ended FABULOUSLY with two MUCH NEEDED mommy night outs!

First, I attended a Bloggers Spa Night Out at the AMAZING PurezaSalon&Spa at The Riverwoods in Provo.
Hosted by Kat of PoshByKat and Brooke's Fabulous Team at the Spa, I enjoyed a couple hours away getting pampered.

There was delicious food provided by LaJolla Groves, and some great services such as MakeOvers, Blowouts, Mani/Pedis, Waxing, and Mini Massages.

My first appointment was for a MakeOver.

We went for the "I wouldn't do this to myself" look.
With the FABULOUS FrankieRoseCosmetics I went from my normal mother of two under two look to a sexy lady out for a night on the town.
I even had EYEBROWS.
I loved how I was able to ask questions... A LOT of them, and I actually learned a few things.

My second appointment was for a mani/pedi.
A cute little corner in the back of the salon provided a relaxing atmosphere to indulge in a good foot soak and hand massage.

I went with the bold red on my toes in honor of the upcoming Fourth Of July weekend.

I was so impressed with all of the staff at Pureza Spa.
The facility is beautiful with stunning decor and a relaxing atmosphere.
So many great services for an affordable price also.
If you are in Provo you HAVE to make an appointment.

Thanks so much ladies for a wonderful night.

Four days later I was back in Provo for the MUCH ANTICIPATED Flamingo Fest Dance Party hosted by the one and only Alison from TheAlisonShow.
I have followed her blog for years and adore her so much.
I've seen tons of photos from the "awesome" parties she has hosted before and I was BEYOND thrilled to FINALLY get to participate in one.
Along with Bing.com, Alison put together a fun and fabulous dance party on top of the Provo Convention Center.
Pink decorations, pink flamingos, pink lipstick, pink nails, pink drinks and the best DJ that rocked Provo for hours!

I may have gone a tiny bit overboard by making my own pink tulle skirt!

Even Provo's Mayor Showed up to Party with Us.

I got to take home a pet Flamingo and this "awesome" print.

I had such a great time and was so excited to finally meet Ms. Alison.

Another AWESOME event.
Thanks so much Alison & Bing.
Can't wait for the next one.
