first night in OUR first home: according to Kyla

My first night in the new place.

Its almost one in the morning and I cant sleep. Kevin predicted that I would stay up all night arranging things and starting to make our place look like home. True, however I cant actually do as much as I would like because the homeowners still have a few maintenance things to fix tomorrow and Monday.
So after an hour of moving boxes into the middle of the room and putting away bathroom stuff I am still wide awake thinking of all the lovely things I will soon be able to do to make this apartment the first Kevin & Kyla Ford home.

As you may have guessed by now, today Kevin & I (mostly Kevin) moved my things and his big furniture into our new apartment. It is still just as beautiful as the first time we looked at it and I am still just as in love with it. Maybe a little more now that OUR things are in it and I will get to give it a "Kyla Touch". I didn't realize how much stuff Kevin has. I am sure he will say the same when we bring the rest of my boxes over from Mark and Catherine's, but between the two of us we have a lot of "Stuff". Kevin did pull out his photo albums from his mission and that was very cool to see!
Uhaul.

Lots of stuff
Kitchen still under construction

That cabinet in the middle is new :) More space!!

Skip's Tools.

I went to the store tonight and purchased as many "basic essentials" as I could think of to  get me by. My "essentials" list consisted of:
Milk
Special K Cereal (With Strawberry's)
Powerade
Bread
Peanut Butter
Jelly (Raspberry)
Tangerines
Toilet Paper
A Shower Curtain & hooks
Laundry Detergent, Bleach and  Dryer Sheets

These are the first things I bought for our home and I'm really excited to have some things in here.
Cant wait until Kevin and I can go shopping for the STOCK THE HOUSE list :) That's always fun.

After a long day of moving , on our way to get the last of my boxes , I took Kevin on a date to J-dawgs (my new boss told me to) for his hard work and being such an awesome mover! It was so good.

Dinner Date after a longgg day.

Well, I just wanted to write a quick entry on how thankful I am for Kevin and for all his hard work. Also thank him for forfeiting the KING size bed we received as a wedding present (that he's been using for the last month and a half) to bring to the new place so I had a nice bed to sleep in.
Sometime after the wedding we will have a small house warming party and you Utah friends will get to see it. For everyone else I will post a new blog once we are settled in and once its had the magic touch.
