We are so excited that our little family is growing (so quickly).
When Hunter was born we had already been looking for a home for some time and we knew that we wanted to buy a house so that we could raise a big family.
When we purchased our first home this March, I instantly was ready to grow our family.
Literally, the week we moved in (even though I was so tired) I felt ready to start trying for another baby.
Kevin WAS NOT as anxious.
I told him once that I felt another little spirit was ready to join our family and left it alone.
For Mothers Day, a couple months later, Kevin wrote me a beautiful letter that ended saying we could start trying for another baby.
Long story short.... 30 days later, I missed my monthly cycle and we confirmed we were expecting!
A clear sign that this new little baby was ANXIOUSLY waiting to join our family.
We kept it a secret until LAST week when we went to California for the Goold Family Reunion.
We sent Hunter out on the patio in a handmade onesie.
My sister Haley read the front "ONLY CHILD" out loud but no one seemed to hear her.
My dad instantly picked Hunter up and held him, hiding the front of the shirt to the rest of the family and only showing the back which read "EXPIRING FEBRUARY 2014".
My mom read the back and got a confused/upset expression on her face.
It seemed as if she thought we were saying Hunter was expiring in Feb of 2014.
She read it to my dad who also looked confused and then he read the front of the shirt to my mom who immediately screamed "ARE YOU PREGNANT?"
It was perfect!
So fun to get to tell the family in person.
Tuesday, July 30th, I had my first doctors appointment.
I am still seeing Dr. Thomas Judd, who I saw during Hunters pregnancy, and I am so excited to be back with such an awesome medical team.
Dr. Judd said I am at the exact same weight I was when I had my first pre-natal appointment during my first pregnancy.
He literally gave me a round of applause for my weight saying most women on average are 7-9 pounds heavier with each baby!
Go Me!
As if getting ready for a new baby isn't exciting enough, two of my best friends, who also happen to be my COUSINS are also expecting.
All three babies are due to be born within two weeks of each other.
So fun and so so crazy.
2014 is definitely the year of the baby in the Goold family.
My cousin Jessica and her husband Colin are expecting their first child at end of January and Jessica's brother Preston and his wife Cassidie are expecting their first at the beginning of February.
I could not imagine a more perfect and amazing group of people to be pregnant with.
Even though Jessica lives in Texas (boo) I know we will be spending TONS of time on the phone and Skyping as we support and love each other these next 6 months.
I am so excited that Preston and Cassidie only live a few minutes away.
It will be so fun to get to compare belly's with her when we have our family get togethers!
I sure love my cousins and I am so happy for both of them.
We were all so close growing up and I just know it will be so neat for our children to get to have cousins as close as we were!
I am excited for this round of baby making.
It is amazing how my body is SO AWARE of what it's doing.
My stomach popped out at 9 weeks and some of my younger sisters mentioned that they could "definitely" tell I was pregnant.
Awesome.
The morning sickness has been just as bad the first tri-mester as it was with Hunter.
I absolutely feel more tired and am my body is so sore.
Maybe it has to do with chasing a 1 year old around all day.
Two children under 2.
Both in diapers.
Two carseats.
Am I nuts?
Maybe.
But I'm even more excited and continue to feel blessed that I am getting to do the one thing I have always wanted to do.
Being a mother is the most rewarding job there is.
Hope you will follow us along this journey.
4 weeks until we have our gender check.
Anyone wanna start taking guesses??

Can't wait to follow along. So fun being pregnant together and having someone to relate to. So happy for you. I can just tell how happy you guys are. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm soo excited we have the same due date!! Aren't you dying to know what baby is? I am dying to know what my babies are. Like cannot wait!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYay for being pregnant together and Ana too!!! :)
Yayyyy!!! I am so so excited for you! I love the announcement pictures and it's so cute that Kevin wrote you a letter on mother's day to start trying!
ReplyDeleteAnd yayyyyy for babies! I totally understand what you're talking about, about 6 girls I am close with are pregnant and it is so much fun going through it with them!
And I'm in the same boat as you with the 2 babies in diaper. Gunner and McKenzie will be less than 12 months apart. So don't worry - you're not alone in that either. Crazy or not, motherhood is what we love and what we're great at - so why not have a house full of babies!
Congrats again lady! Xoxo!
CONGRATS! I know I already told you. But I cannot get over how cute this is. And I loved reading all about it. You guys are a great example to me. I appreciate you sharing this time with all of us, as well!
