So is the case of my sister who is 9 months pregnant and anxiously waiting the arrival of her first little girl.
It's been a long journey for my sister and her husband who thought for years they wouldn't be able to have children, fostered a 6 year old little boy, and in the middle of their adoption found out they were expecting.
My sister has Dystonia, a neurological movement disorder, and this pregnancy has been a blessing and a challenge with pain and worry daily.
In March, we were able to celebrate sweet baby Cali with friends and family from near and far.
My mom and sisters and I, with help from Aunts and Grandma, were able to put together an adorable woodland themed shower that included some incredible food, a delicious cake and Photo Booth complete with woodland creatures.
My sister McKenna surprised us all and drove all night from Sacramento to be here to celebrate with us. You will see in the pictures the moment she walks through the doors!
