How We Wore It // Keepin' It Casual

Summer is here, it's HOT and I am in full mommy, comfortable, STAY COOL style mode.

This months How We Wore It Fashion Collab was amazing and just up my style alley.
Our inspiration for June casuals came from Robyn who blogs over at Robyn Vilate.
My favorite thing about Robyn is that her style is COMPLETELY relatable, chic, and I love how as a mom I can see myself actually wearing outfits she wears.
Robyn's outfit in this post is perfect.
Just what I'd wear on an afternoon out running errands with the kids.
Converse shoes, skinnies, camo shirt and a hat!
SPOT ON ROBYN!!

Here's my take on it:
I had similar pieces in my closet and I was anxious to "throw" on something for the day that I could actually wear ALL day with my busy schedule.
I opted for a black Steve Madden shoe.
These shoes are so comfortable and are perfect for a casual look.
These are my favorite skinnies that I recently purchased from Bella Ella Boutique.
I love the length, the faded blue and how I can dress them up or keep 'em causal.
Staple for every mom's closet.
A simple black V-Neck Tee from Old Navy. My favorite part about this V-Neck is that it's light weight and breathes, which is perfect during these 100+ degree days we are having.
It was also on sale for $5 so that's always a bonus.
I bought this hat originally for my trip to Disneyland a few years ago.
I'm not generally a big baseball cap wearing gal, I only have two in my wardrobe, however I loved how it changed up my look for a day.
The hardest thing for me to decide each morning is what I'm gonna do with my long, thick, wavy mop of hair and it usually just gets tossed back in a braid.
I loved that I could let my hair down, show off my color and curl, and not be fighting those pestering hairs in my face.
Baseball caps for the win!

Thanks again for this awesome look Robyn.
Love that I can feel comfortable and practical and still have style.

  1. Those pants are so cute!! I'm assuming you rolled them up?! Genius! I didn't even think to do that, but it opens up my wardrobe to so many more possibilities! I'm all about Old Navy and V Necks! I'm really glad they changed their shirts a bit. I had to boycott them for a little while because I bought a bunch of shirts and they would be fine when I put them on and then by the end of the day they were all stretched out and nasty looking. Grr!
