Last week our family got to escape to Sacramento for a week full of festivities with my family.
I look forward to my trips home all year. I countdown the days for WEEKS and in 7 days it's all over.
This trip home was no different, with MAJOR events EVERYDAY of our visit, our 6 day stay felt like 6 hours.
Isn't it always tricky when going to visit family to find enough time to do everything you want to do?
Not much in the sense of a "vacation" but it is nice to escape our daily routines, lay out by the pool and be surrounded by family.
We left Utah at 5:30am Wednesday morning.
We arrived at 2pm, spent the afternoon recouping at my Aunt & Uncles house and at 6:30 headed over to The Old Spaghetti Factory to surprise my mom!
We gathered 50+ of her closest friends and family members and pulled off one of the best surprise parties ever!
Thursday was my sister Aubrey's birthday and they blessed their baby in my parents home, again surrounded by our friends and family.
It was such a special evening.
Friday was another special day for my sister and her family.
Aubrey and Daniel were able to be sealed to their son James in the temple for time and all eternity.
What an incredible time to be in the temple with my sister, brother-in-law and nephew.
I know I felt LOTS of heavenly onlookers in the sealing room with us.
Satruday was the 4th of July.
We started the morning at Denios, the local farmers/flee market, chilled by the pool for hours and ended the day at a family fun block party.
The kids LOVED the fireworks.
Sunday, we attended church with my family, had our normal BIG SUNDAY dinner and ended out the night with Birthday Strawberry Shortcake.
Monday we dropped baby Hayden off to my Aunt's house, piled 14 of us into a BMW (big mormon wagon) and drove to San Francisco.
We walked around Pier 39 before we headed over to AT&T Park for a Giants game.
Hunter loved every minute of it.
It was his first major sports event and he did so well.
The Stadium was beautiful an you can't beat its view.
We had such a great week with my family.
We always feel so blessed for all we get to do when we visit.
Grandma had an EXCELLENT TREAT Box, Hunter had his first PopTart, Hayden spent most of the week in her diaper, we had a girls mani/pedi night, we visited Dutch Bros a hundred times and ate at all our favorite restaurants. We all soaked up every ounce of sunshine we could out by the pool and every minute with family and friends.
And then, just like that, our trip was over!
Tuesday we were back on the road home.
Did I mention my kids were 'sick' the whole trip?
Not sure if it was allergies, Hayden's teething or COMPLETE LACK OF SLEEP, but both kids had nasty coughs ALL 5 DAYS.
Made for a very clingy 18 month old and a grouchy 3 year old.

7 days of a glimpse of heaven. We are so proud of all our children and their families. It is a blessing to have children who are willing to sacrifice their own time to make memories for grandparents. TTMABAOATS.
