Butterscotch Easter Nests.

Hunter & Hayden are both in preschool this year, so we decided to take last years neighborhood treat and make them again for our preschool friends since they were a HUGE hit.
We've put together this quick and easy tutorial for you to make your friends and family a fun and yummy Easter treat.

Butterscotch Easter Nests
Here's what you'll need:
-Easter Themed Cupcake Liners.
-Easter Treat Bags.
-Easter Egg Jelly Beans (or chocolates)
-1 Bag of Nestle Butterscotch Chips
-1 Bag of Chow Mein Noodles
-12 Count Cupcake Tin
-Large Mixing Bowl
-Glass Measuring Cup

Start by lining the cupcake pan with the liners.
(You'll need these ready to go for once the melted butterscotch and noodles are mixed to press into the cupcake liner to form the nest)

Next, melt the butterscotch in a microwave safe bowl.
Melt for 1 minute, stir, melt for 30 second intervals until chips are melted and smooth.
(Took 2 minutes for me to melt one bags worth)

Next pour the melted butterscotch over the chow mein noodles in a large mixing bowl.

Mix well.
Immedietly scoop butterscotch noodle mix into cupcake liners.
Press down in the middle to form nest.

Add 4 Egg candies in the middle of each nest.

Let harden overnight.
Wrap & Deliver!

The best part of these Easter treats is that it's a super family friendly activity for even little children.
Both our kids helped a ton and had a blast!
I think the licking of butterscotch and snacking of Jelly Beans was really what kept them motivated!
Happy Butterscotch Nesting!
