My twin cousins, Gabriel and Garrett and their families were in Utah this weekend and we had the wonderful chance to meet up with them in Centerville.
It has been YEARS since I have seen my cousins (both who are in programs to get their PHD's.)
In those many many years, both my cousins have married wonderful women, whom I just met for the first time Friday, and started families of their own.
Garrett and Melissa have two GORGEOUS daughters, Amber and Elinor.
They are so precious and remind me how much fun little girls are.
Gabriel and Beth have two ADORABLE sons, Ivan and Patrick.
They are the cutest things ever and it gets me so excited to think about what Hunter's personality will be like when he gets bigger. Ivan was hilarious. He is so smart.
It was so fun to spend the afternoon with them and we definitely wished they all lived closer so we could see them more often.
We met up with our family at Beth's relatives house who had a pool and it was so fun to be enjoying the nice summer sun.
Hunter got all sun-blocked up and put in a hat, that was 6 months too big, but he looked so cute in it and safety comes first with his pale skin like mommy.
(Pale skin and Red hair don't always agree with the sun, Sorry Hunter)
Kev originally wasn't going to make it to Friday afternoons festivities because he had to show some buildings. I think the more he thought about missing out on Hunter's first pool adventure the more he wanted to go.
I had just left the house to head to the pool when Kevin called me and said he wanted to come.
He "says" that he didn't end up having to show the building he thought he was going to have to show so he was free. I think he worked a little magic and moved some plans around to be with mommy and Baby H.
Whatever the reason, I was SO excited he was able to come with us.
Kevin could not wait to get Hunter in the pool.
Hunter loved the water.
He kicked his legs around and splashed his arms against the water.
Kevin obviously was completely enamored playing with his son in the pool.
We are so glad we were able to meet up with our cousins.
We love spending time with family, especially those who live so far away and we don't get to see often.
Thanks for an awesome time Hughes' families!
So fun to meet everyone!
On the way home Kevin took me on a little dinner date, since he had to go back to the office and I'd be home alone with baby on Friday night. We went to Rumbi Grill.
So delicious.
New Favorite maybe? Hmm, Yes!
Oh, and Kevin picked up these little babies that I found on KSL.
The PERFECT jars I have been looking for.
Painted and have holes cut for straws already.
Now that I have them I am going to plan a party to use them, after the baby blessing that is.
And, one last thing.
Basement FAIL.
Pictures NEVER do spider size justice.
This thing was HUGE.
After the backyard was DEEP cleaned yesterday, the bugs all decided to take shelter in our apartment.
Not Cool.
