Today we celebrated the life of my sweet Grandpa Jay.
The family is all in town from Utah and California and it was wonderful to all be together.
The memorial was touching.
My father gave a sketch of Grandpa's life, the Robert's family (my grandfather's sister and her family) sang a beautiful song, followed by some words from one of my grandfathers mission companions and then some great stories from each of the other 6 sons.
It was such a special day.
As I sat in the audience throughout the service I was continually reminded of how special our family is.
I have always felt so grateful for the Goold side of the family and how close we all are and for the numerous memories I have over the year from all of our family gatherings.
From living close to cousins, to having monthly family dinners, holidays together and family reunions.
I feel so blessed that frequent family gatherings were always happening.
It was so special to see Aunt Liza and so many of her posterity at the service singing.
What a beautiful group of people!
I am grateful for their love for our family.
I am so grateful for this amazing family my grandparents created.
For the amazing patriarch my Grandfather was.
God Be With You Til We Meet Again Grandpa.
Farewell.
The Relief Society hosted a yummy luncheon after the service.
This evening our family decided to go to Burger King for dinner to honor Grandpa.
It was his FAVORITE place and we felt it appropriate.
