Yesterday we had our 20 week doctor's appointment for little girl.
And yes, we verified that SHE is still a SHE.
It was such a great appointment and the ultrasound lasted well over a half an hour giving us plenty of time to ooh and ahh over our adorable little girl.

She is weighing in at about 14 oz, has the most delicious little lips I've ever seen and is even getting a little "meat" on her tiny thighs.
The nurse said she has a good strong heart beat and everything is measuring to where it should be this far along.
We had a pretty unique experience during the ultrasound.
The nurse was measuring the bladder and noticed how "big" or full it looked. She thought she better measure it quick and as soon as the size recorded our little girl emptied that bladder of hers.
Now, it may seem gross to talk about my unborn child peeing inside of me but, it was actually really cool to see her bladder "shrink" after she emptied.
Something I would have NEVER thought about if I hadn't watched it happen.
The ultrasound tech was so wonderful and did a fabulous job explaining what we were looking at and what it should be measuring according to the baby's age.
Everything was measuring SPOT ON to our February 14th due date!
The nurse did point out that my placenta implanted very low and that I could be at risk of Placenta Previa.
At this early stage we can just watch it and see if it moves up and hopefully not over where it would be covering my cervix.
I really am not too worried about it at this point but I am so thankful for early detection and technology that will allow us to watch it closely as the baby grows so we can be prepared for a C-Section if it goes that route!
Prayers it won't!!
Guess it's finally safe to start buying little girl clothes and painting the room pink!
So excited and I think it will FINALLY set in that I am going to get my "mini-me" to dress up in BIG dresses and fluffy socks and lots of head bands!
Hooray.
