Hunter turned eight-teen months old today.
In our church, this is the age that children first get to go to a "class" called Nursery, and mommy and daddy are FREE, er-eh, I mean get to go to their class also.
For the last couple months Hunter has actually been attending Nursery with me since I am the Nursery teacher in our ward.
I think this really helped for our first "official" day today because he was familiar with the teachers and all his new little friends.
He loves to play with the toys.
He loves snack time and singing time!
He even colored a little of the coloring page I brought for my lesson.
He LOVES his teachers, Sam & Kira, our next door neighbors, and I am so grateful he gets to have such wonderful leaders.
It was bitter sweet to leave him today while Kev and I got to sneak out to attend Sunday School together.... for the first time... in a VERY LONG TIME, but so wonderful also.
(We even held hands. It was kind of a big deal)
Church is hard with small children.
Three hours of church is even harder.
Especially when it starts at 11am, right in the middle of nap time and lunch time.
Some days, we don't make it the full three hours.
Some days, we don't make it through Sacrament meeting.
Some days, we don't even make it out of our house.
However, I am so grateful for this awesome gospel and for the blessing it is in our home.
I am grateful for the opportunity I have to go to church each Sunday and worship.
I am grateful for the blessing it is that my son can be learning about Jesus at such a young age.
Happy Half Birthday Hunter Edward.

We also got to spend time with Papa this weekend while he was in town for a quick 24 hour visit.
We loved it.

Hunter is so cute! And it sounds like he did an awesome job in his first day at nursery!
