It's 2014!
I can hardly believe it.
Our New Years Eve was quiet and boring.
| Our New Years Eve party supplies still on the table, untouched on New Years Morning. |
(we are not very successful for awesome New Years Eve's)
Hubby wasn't feeling well and I had the worst headache ever.
New Years Morning I somehow managed to cook up another batch of Kevin's favorite breakfast, Aebelskivers.
It's been a Christmas tradition for both of us since we were young, however this last year I made them for a handful of other holidays/special weekends.
By popular demand and because one of my "Blog New Years Resolutions" is to share more food posts, I have decided to share the recipe that my mom gave me so you and your family could try out this DELICIOUS breakfast tradition.
________
Aebelskivers Recipe
c/o Shelleylee Goold.
2 Cups Buttermilk
2 Cups Flour
2 Eggs
(Separate Eggs, Beat whites 'til Fluffy)
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
2 Tbs. Sugar
4 Tbs. Melted Butter
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together except for egg whites, until smooth.
Fold in Egg Whites.
Pour 1tsp of oil in pan cups (Special Aebelskiver Pan Needed)
Pour batter into each cup until cup is full and leveled with sides of pan.
Use a skewer stick to rotate the batter as it starts to form into a ball.
Aebelskiver is done when a lightly brown ball has been formed.
