Toddler Tidbits: Art Activity

One of my New Year Resolutions is to spend more time with Hunter doing toddler activities.
We play with a lot of blocks and read books and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but I have been wanting to more with him now that he is older and is understanding things better.
Field trips, music time, school time and craft time are a few of the activities I have in mind!

We had our first go at craft time and it was a HUGE success.

We made a trip to the local Hobby Lobby to pick up some paint supplies.
Back at home we got all of things we needed and headed to the basement where Kev set up a little table in a corner as a "craft area".
We put on an old shirt and let H go to town.

He did so well not making a total mess and stayed on the paper the whole time.
It was so fun to watch him mix colors and scribble lines all over.
He was so helpful during clean up also.
It's amazing how quickly little ones grow up and learn new things and use skills you didn't know they had.

We will definitely be framing this piece of art and adding it to his gallery wall in his new big boy room!

What fun crafts do you do with your little ones?!
I can't wait for our next craft adventure!

__________

For this craft I used:
-Crayola's Washable Kids Paint & Brushes.
(This product was easy to pour and easily wiped off Hunter's hands when we were through)
-I used the top of a white gift box for Hunter to paint on
(thicker then paper and we have tons lying around leftover from Christmas)
-An Old White Shirt
(fun to see what he gets on it during craft time over time)
-Paper Plate.
-Paper Towels.
-Small cup of water for cleaning brushes.
